- HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL ACTUALLY BE SELECTED?
One person is guaranteed to be selected for the primary booking, which travel vouchers and gift cards. Producers may offer additional booking opportunities to any other eligible models.
- WHAT ARE THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS?
To enter, you must be at least 18 years old (by June 19th, 2012) and be eligible to work in the United States. All models must be at least 5’7” in height, female models must be a dress size 0 to 4 and male models must have a waist smaller than 34 inches. Person(s) selected must also be able to fulfill the booking, which includes travel to New York City during Fashion Week 2012 and attendance at all events.
- WHAT KINDS OF VIDEOS OF ME ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?
Audition videos should include any information that you’d like considered. Make sure to introduce yourself and let us know what makes you the perfect person to walk the runway during New York Fashion Week.
- HOW LONG CAN MY VIDEO SUBMISSIONS BE?
Keep them no longer than 3 minutes. Too short and you don’t get your point across, too long and the voters will lose interest, so find the balance that works for you!
- HOW MANY PHOTOS DO I NEED TO POST?
You must post at least one recent photo of yourself. Make sure there aren’t any noticeable logos and that we can see you clearly. Remember, we want to see you, not necessarily your pets or friends. And keep it clean, please!
- CAN I POST ADDITIONAL PHOTOS?
Of course! Just make sure you’re portraying yourself in the best way possible.
- CAN I EDIT MY PROFILE?
Once you've logged in to your account, just go to "My Profile," then click on "Manage Profile" to change personal account information (address, phone, e-mail). To add photos, click on "Manage Photos," and for videos, click "Manage Videos." But remember, you can't change your username so choose wisely and spell correctly!
- I UPLOADED MY VIDEO, BUT IT'S NOT ON MY PROFILE.
It can take up to 24 hours for your video to be encoded and checked by our video patrol before it’s posted to your account. Make sure to follow the guidelines — it speeds up the process!
- HOW MUCH DOES VIDEO QUALITY MATTER?
Again, you're trying to get votes, so it matters! Make your video look as good and professional as possible. Pay attention to the simple stuff — make sure you can be seen and heard clearly.
- WHEN DO WE FIND OUT THE WINNER?
Producers will begin to reach out to models from about a week before the end of the casting to about a week after. A final decision and announcement will be made on or around August 13th, 2012 - so make sure your contact information is up-to-date and correct!
- HOW DO I VOTE?
Make sure that you sign up and create a profile. You must be 21 years of age or older to vote. From the homepage, just click on the "Vote" button below a profile image. If you're visiting a particular profile, look for the "Vote" button on the right-hand side of the page. Vote away!
- WHAT IF I JUST WANT TO SURF THE SITE AND VOTE?
No problem! Just select the option for “Make Me a Voter” on the signup screen and you’ll be free to blog, post messages and vote as much as you like!
